The Story of Noah (Nuh) )
Noah (Nuh, peace be upon him) was one of the greatest prophets of Allah, sent to guide his people who had fallen into idol worship and corruption. He called them to worship Allah alone and abandon their false gods.
For 950 years, Prophet Noah tirelessly preached to his people, urging them to repent and follow the right path. However, most of them mocked him and stubbornly rejected his message. They ridiculed him, calling him a madman, and refused to believe in the oneness of Allah. Despite their rejection, Noah remained patient and continued his mission.
When his people persisted in their disbelief, Allah revealed to Noah that a great flood would come to punish them. He instructed Noah to build a massive ark. The disbelievers mocked him as he built it on dry land, but he remained steadfast, trusting in Allah’s command.
Once the ark was completed, Allah commanded Noah to take with him believers and pairs of every species of animals. When the floodwaters began to rise, it rained continuously, and water gushed from the earth, covering everything. Those who disbelieved, including Noah’s own son, drowned in the flood. Noah pleaded with Allah to save his son, but Allah reminded him that only the righteous would be saved.
The flood wiped out all the wicked people, and after many days, Allah commanded the waters to recede. The ark finally rested on Mount Judi. Noah and the believers disembarked, beginning a new life on earth. They were grateful to Allah for His mercy and justice.
Noah’s story teaches many valuable lessons, such as patience, faith, and the consequences of rejecting divine guidance. His unwavering commitment to his mission, despite the challenges, serves as an inspiration for all believers.
Allah mentions Noah’s story multiple times in the Quran as a reminder for humanity to remain faithful and steadfast in righteousness.
Thus, Noah is remembered as a prophet of great perseverance and faith, whose story continues to inspire generations to seek guidance and remain true to their beliefs.
