Instead, he hurried to the previous owner of the land and said with all honesty and sincerity: "O you, take your gold from me; I bought the land from you, and I did not buy the gold from you." He was afraid that forbidden money or a right that was not his would enter his stomach.

​The Amazing Reaction of the Seller:

The seller's chastity was no less than the buyer's. Instead of rejoicing in the money and taking it, he replied with a spirit full of piety, saying: "I sold you the land and everything in it." He considered that everything inside the land became the property of the buyer under the sales contract. Thus, the two men did not dispute over taking the money, but rather over rejecting it out of fear of Almighty God.
