The ambassador of the Messenger of God, Musab bin Omair, the first ambassador in Islam

Who is Musab bin Omair? What is his nickname? And what did the Prophet say about him?

Abu Abdullah Musab bin Omair al-Abdari, may God be pleased with him, is a companion of Jalil Badri, one of those who preceded Islam. He was born in 42 BC. His nickname is Abu Abdullah, and he is called the ambassador of the Messenger of God.

Musab bin Omair - may God be pleased with him - was one of the wealthiest, chaste, honest, and daring young men of Quraysh, and he knew that he had passed the road by the fragrant scent of luxury.

Musab bin Omair - may God be pleased with him - loved his mother very much, and she was very sympathetic to him and loved him very much. Him - he concealed his Islam from his mother because of his love for her and for not harassing her, so he would go to the house of Al-Arqam secretly. One day, one of the polytheists (Othman bin Talha) saw him entering the house of Al-Arqam, so he told his mother, and when she found out, she imprisoned him until he renounced his religion, but he managed to escape. from imprisonment, and flees with his debt with other Muslims to Abyssinia.

Musab - may God be pleased with him - was the banner-bearer of the Emigrants in the battles of Badr and Uhud. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said about him: I have not seen in Mecca a better word, nor a blessing than Musab bin Omair. Umair - may God be pleased with him - was the first ambassador in Islam, so he was called the ambassador of the Messenger of God, and he was the envoy of the Prophet Muhammad - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - to call for Islam in Yathrib after the first pledge of allegiance to Aqaba.

Musab bin Omair - may God be pleased with him - was aware of the trust entrusted to him by the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - and of carrying the great responsibility that the Prophet placed on his neck. On that path that the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - commissioned him to walk on.

Musab bin Umair - may God be pleased with him - was killed in the Battle of Uhud. Ibn Qam’ah al-Laithi killed him. Ibn Qam’ah attacked him while he was carrying a banner. He struck Musab’s right hand and cut it off. He took the banner by the left saying: “Muhammad is nothing but a messenger, and the messengers have departed before him.”

Then Ibn Qam’ah cut it, and Mus’ab joined the brigade with his arms to his chest, and Ibn Qam’ah stabbed him in the chest with a spear, killing him.

Thus, the first ambassador of the call was martyred in the 3rd year of Hijrah, and the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - mourned for him, and stood over the bodies of the martyrs of Uhud.

On Musab’s body, he said: “Among the believers are men who are true to their covenant with God.

And when Musab was martyred, he left only a number (a small quilt), they wanted to shroud him with it, so if they covered his head, his feet would appear, and if they covered his feet the back of his head, the Messenger of God Muhammad - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said: ((Cover his head, and place on his feet from Al-Akhar. He was buried by his brother Abu al-Rum bin Omair, Amer bin Rabi’ah and Sobeta bin Saad - may God be pleased with them - when he was 40 years old.
