Verses 89 to 101 of Surat Al-Baqarah

Verse 89 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And when there came to them a Book from Allah confirming that which was with them . although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved . but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers

Verse 90 of Surah Al-Baqarah

(with "from His favor" for closer accuracy to the Arabic)

How wretched is that for which they sold themselves – that they would disbelieve in what Allah has revealed, out of envy that Allah would send down from His favor upon whom He wills among His servants. So they returned having [earned] wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment.

Verse 91 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah has revealed," they say, "We believe [only] in what was revealed to us." And they disbelieve in what came after it, while it is the truth confirming what is with them. Say, “Then why did you kill the prophets of Allah before, if you are [indeed] believers?”

Verse 92 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And indeed, Moses brought you clear proofs; then you took the calf after him and were wrongdoers.

Verse 93 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And [recall] when We took your covenant and raised over you the mount, [saying], "Take what We have given you with determination and listen." They said, "We hear and disobey." And their hearts absorbed [the worship of] the calf because of their disbelief. Say, "How wretched is that which your faith enjoins upon you, if you should be believers

Verse 93 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And [recall] when We took your covenant and raised over you the mount, [saying], "Hold firmly to what We have given you and listen." They said, "We hear and disobey." And they were made to drink the calf into their hearts because of their disbelief. Say, "How wretched is that which your faith enjoins upon you, if you should be believers

Verse 94 of Surah Al-Baqarah

Say, “If the home of the Hereafter with Allah is for you alone and not for the [other] people, then wish for death – if you should be truthful.”

Verse 95 of Surah Al-Baqarah

But they will never wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

Verse 96 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And you will surely find them the most eager of all people for life. The polytheists. Each one of them wishes that he could be granted a life of a thousand years. Yet, no matter how long their life is, it will not keep them away from the punishment. And Allah is Seeing of what they do.

Verse 97 of Surah Al-Baqarah

Say, “Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel .It is he who has brought it [the Qur'an] down upon your heart, by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers.”

Verse 98 of Surah Al-Baqarah

Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael . then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.

Verse 99 of Surah Al-Baqarah

And We have certainly revealed to you clear verses, and no one denies them except the defiantly disobedient.

Verse 100 of Surah Al-Baqarah

Is it not [true] that every time they took a covenant, a group of them threw it away? But, in fact, most of them do not believe.

Verse 101 of Surah Al-Baqarah

> And when a messenger from Allah came to them confirming what was with them, a group of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know.

And look at what the Jews were doing and their breaking of their covenants. Allah Almighty sent down a book confirming what they had,

Which is the Holy Quran, meaning that it is no different from the Torah that Allah sent down before the Quran, but they disbelieved in it, and the Torah contains descriptions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they threatened the

Polytheists who had no religion said that if the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came, they would believe in him until he gave them victory over the polytheists. This purpose was not for the sake of faith, but rather to be a weapon against the polytheists.

weapon against the polytheists.

They thought that the Messenger would come and argue with them and give them victory over the polytheists.

However, when the Messenger called to Islam and faith, he called to

goodness and mercy. Because they found that the Messenger did not suit their morals and evil intentions, they denied him and disbelieved in his message and in what was revealed to him of the Qur’an.

They deserved the curse of God, which is expulsion from God’s mercy and Paradise, because they sold themselves and bought disbelief.

This purchase is evil, leading to breaking covenants several times due to insistence on disbelief and injustice.

So God became angry with them with anger upon anger, and they paid the price for that by sending down upon them a humiliating punishment, in which there is humiliation, that is, more severe.  When the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, called them to believe in Islam and the Quran, they said,

“We will only believe in the Torah,” even though the Quran came with the truth, confirming what they had in the Torah. They do not believe in the Torah or the Quran, and what is in the Torah is in the Quran. They do not have a command to kill the prophets.

If they were truly believers, why would they do what Allah did not command them to do? Why did they kill the prophets when Allah did not command them to do so? None of this is mentioned in any of the heavenly books.

They are liars. If they were believers in the Torah, as they said, they would not have worshipped the calf.

Taking the calf in and of itself is injustice, meaning that you are unjust in your belief and unjust to Allah by disbelieving in Him. The same applies to the incident of Mount Tur, which they thought would fall on them,

So they believed in Allah out of fear of its falling.  Mount Tur was raised above the Jews because they followed Moses before Mount Tur was raised above them, then they apostatized after that when they worshipped the calf,

So God Almighty commanded them to listen to God’s command and to take this covenant with strength, so they listened and did not act upon what they heard, so they disobeyed God.

If this is faith, then this is the bad faith that commands them to the peak of disbelief

Because God looks at their hearts and deeds and knows what is in them, God Almighty asks the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to expose them before the people and show their lies with conclusive evidence. With this question,

Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and says to them: (If you are truthful that the Hereafter is for you alone and that you are assured of Paradise alone, then wish for death so that you may be in eternal bliss.

And if they were truly confident in their words, they would have wished for death because the Hereafter and Paradise are for them alone,

just as Muslims long for them and wish for the death of martyrdom to enter Paradise, but they fear it and never wish for it.

And they wish to live a thousand years, but they are not removed from the torment.

They are more keen on the transient world than the polytheists who have no religion.

The strange thing is that the Jew has a book that must not be equal to the polytheists, but in all cases they and the polytheists are keen to remain even in humiliation.

In this transient world, leaving the Hereafter to the believers is a right, and Paradise is a right for the believer.

It happened one day that a group of Jews came and asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, five questions that only a prophet can answer.

If he answered them, they were reassured that he was a prophet, but their goal was not their faith, but rather they were accustomed to belittling him in their eyes so that they would remain in their misguidance, as evidenced by what happened after answering the questions.

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to them: "If you tell me the truth that you know, follow me and believe in Allah." The first question: What is the sign of a prophet? The Prophet said: His eyes sleep but his heart does not sleep.

They said: You are right. The Prophet said: O Allah, bear witness. The second question: What did the Jews forbid themselves? The Prophet said

They forbade camel meat and milk. They said: You are right. The Prophet said: O Allah, bear witnes.

The third question: What is thunder and its sound? The Prophet said

It is an angel from Allah who has whips of fire in his hand with which he drives the clouds by Allah's command. They said: You are right.

Question 4:  How does a woman

give birth to a male and how does

she give birth to a female

The Prophet replied:  If the man's semen is more, a boy will be born.  but If a woman has a lot of semen, a female will be born.

They said: You have spoken the truth. The Prophet said: O Allah, bear witness.

Question 5 and the last: Who sent down the revelation to you? He said: Gabriel.

They said: He is our enemy, we do not love him, but we love Michael.

As I said, and as is their custom, despite all his answers indicating that he is the Prophet, they did not fulfill their promise to believe in him

And trust him and return to Allah, but they also broke their promise to the Prophet.

So the verse was revealed that whoever is hostile to the angels of Allah is hostile to Allah. Allah Almighty wanted to reassure His Prophet that Gabriel is from Allah and that

He sent him down to the heart of the Prophet, confirming what was before them of the Torah,

And that it is guidance and good news for the believers. Allah ruled that they are disbelievers, and whoever opposes them has opposed Allah, and whoever opposes Allah is at the peak of disbelief. And insisting on it

Because Allah has sent down clear signs, that is, multiple, clear miracles that every rational person who wants to believe believes in

And whoever wants to disbelieve disbelieves, and none disbelieves in them except the immoral, and immorality is going out of obedience to Allah Almighty,

So they constantly break the covenants, and most of them do not believe and they are a group of immoral people who turn away from the command of Allah and break all the covenants after their belief, they turn away and retreat

And break the covenants and do not pay attention to the Messenger whose descriptions are mentioned in their books and that they apply to him, rather they throw the Book of Allah behind their .backs as if they do not know anything about it.
