Surah Al-Baqarah

 Verses 167 : 158

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 158

Indeed, as. Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs ʿUmrah . there is no blame upon him for walking between them.

 And whoever volunteers is good . then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 159

Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture . those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse,

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 160

Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 161

Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers . upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 162

Abiding eternally therein.the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

 

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 163

And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

 

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 164

Indeed, in the creation of the

 heavens and the earth, the alternation of the night and the day, the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.

 

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 165

And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him].

 They love them as they [should] love Allah. 

But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 166

“[And imagine] when those who were followed disown those who followed them, and they all see the punishment, and all the reasons of benefit that once connected them are completely cut off.”

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 167

And those who followed will say, 'If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us.' Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire.". 

 

Summary of the interpretation of Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 159 to 167

 

We begin with a summary of the interpretation of Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 159 to 164.

And the Truth, Glory be to Him, the Most High, shows us the punishment of those who conceal what Allah has revealed.

 Some of the People of the Book  concealed the clear evidence they had that Allah revealed in the Book, which proves the truth of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in his prophethood. 

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came with guidance,

 And guidance is of two types: guidance of indication and guidance of assistance from Allah. Guidance of indication is for the servant to know that the universe has one God who created mankind, and that the universe has fixed laws

 And a method that the servants follow and worship the Lord of the servants who created them. All of this is called guidance of indication that makes us know Allah and His commands.

 Whenever evil befalls the world because of their concealment of the data that guides and directs people, Allah curses them, and the curse is expulsion and banishment from the mercy of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.

Despite all this, God Almighty gives the opportunity to repent to God Almighty, 

And one of the conditions of repentance is that the sinner returns every right to its owner. If they announce their repentance, they must abandon sins and transgressions and correct what they have corrupted,

 Which is everything with which they have harmed people, by making clear, meaning that they show people 

what they have concealed from people, then God accepts their repentance, because God is the 

One who has prescribed repentance for the sinner to give the sinner another opportunity to return to God Almighty, because God is Merciful, meaning He increases His mercy upon the repentant believers.

As for he who persists in disbelief and dies in his disbelief and does not repent, his punishment is the curse of God, the angels, 

And all people. God Almighty will expel him from His mercy and Paradise, and will admit him into the Fire and torment him therein forever. 

He will not lighten their suffering torment, nor will He look at them, and He will hasten their torment.

Because God gives them the opportunity to return to God by repenting to God, but the infidels insisted on their disbelief and did not repent, and because the infidels are fools who do not understand, they said: 

How can there be one God while He is the One who controls the affairs of creation? 

They do what indicates foolishness of minds, that they worship multiple gods from idols made by their own hands, so how can these idols control the affairs of creation while they are made by human hands? 

 

If that is the case, then these infidels are fools who do not understand. 

So Allah revealed a verse meaning that the universe has one God, and Allah explained the signs of His creation and innovation that no one creates except Allah the Most High, and 

He is the One God, there is no god but Him, the God of the universe, who rules with justice

 And has mercy on all His servants with His mercy, and He legislated repentance, so it was possible for the sinner to be punished in Hell without giving him another chance, 

So He legislated repentance from the mercy of Allah and that He is Merciful, meaning that He increases 

His mercy on the believer as a reward for his patience and faith, and other blessings that are countless. 

 In all these verses, Allah the Almighty wants to alert the mind to receive the blessing of existence in itself and in the universe subject to it. 

From these verses, we conclude that the rational person contemplates and knows that this must be in the hands of one great God, who is Allah the Almighty, 

And that it is not conceivable that all of this is the creation of other than one God, who is Allah the Almighty. 

From these cosmic verses, it becomes clear to us that Allah is the One who created the heavens and the earth and made in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night 

And day and in the ships that sail the sea benefits for people and what Allah sends down from the sky of water by which

 He revives the earth and also the direction of the winds by the command of Allah and the clouds moving between the sky and the earth. All of these verses are contemplated by the rational person.

Interpretation of verse 165:167 of Surat Al-Baqarah

Despite the legislation of repentance, they did not repent, and despite the cosmic verses that indicate one great God, who is God who created the universe.

But some people persisted in disbelief, so they are fools who do not reason and are also unjust, because the most severe type of injustice is disbelief in God Almighty, 

Because it is unjust to associate another god with God, rather they worship multiple gods whom they love 

As they love God. Just as the believer loves his Lord, the unbeliever loves his god whom he has taken as a deity. 

But those who believed, their love for God is a love that no one disagrees about, 

So they are more in love with God, and his love for God never changes, and the believer loves his Lord in good times 

And bad and does not forget Him, neither in prosperity nor in hardship, and these unbelievers will see on the Day of

 Resurrection those rivals, that is, those gods, as fuel for the fire with which they will torment the unbelievers on the Day of Resurrection.  

They will see the punishment with certainty on the Day of Resurrection. And they will realize that power belongs to Allah and that He is severe in punishment. 

So their condition on that Day will be that they will all disavow each other when they see the punishment. If the polytheists cry out,

 Satan will not come to save any of the polytheists. And whether Satan cries out or not, the polytheists will not come to save him.

 And the disbelievers will disavow everyone who made polytheism attractive to them, or the disbelievers will say to those who made polytheism attractive to them, 

“We are innocent of you and we have nothing to do with you

.” And likewise the disbelievers who led people astray into disbelief will disavow ... and say,

 “We are innocent of you and we have nothing to do with you.

” Even Satan,  of his misleading them, will disavow them and all means of saving them from Allah’s punishment will be cut off from them. If they disavow each other, it will not benefit them nor save them from the punishment,

 And they will wish to return to the world, and their wish is that they will have a chance to return to the world so that they can disavow themselves. 

 Of them. To do righteous deeds therein. 

And this regret will not be of any use in getting them out of the Fire. 

And God will show them their previous deeds as regrets for them.

 Their regret for their previous bad deeds will not benefit them, for they will not return to the world to do righteous deeds therein that will save them from God’s punishment
