understand the verses from verse 51 :64 of Surat Al-Baqarah

InterpretationVerse 51 -Surat Al-Baqarah

After Allah Almighty saved Moses and his people and drowned Pharaoh, it was necessary to inform Moses of the method, and the promise included forty nights.These forty nights were limited to thirty nights.And Allah Almighty completed ten more nights. But at this time the Samaritan made a calf for them to worship, so they wronged themselves because they worshipped this manufactured calf, then society, because worshiping other than Allah leads to actions that harm the self and society, because Allah Almighty is the one who sets the laws. And society is governed by a method that clarifies right and wrong and shows good and evil, and it is a method to follow good and avoid evil, so whoever worships other than Allah corrupts society and harms the person himself because he is part of society.

 InterpretationVerse 52 Surat Al-Baqarah

{Then We pardoned you after that so that you might be grateful}

Allah Almighty bestowed His blessings upon the Children of Israel once again. even though they committed one of the greatest sins. except that Allah pardoned them because He wanted to preserve the element of goodness for people. He wanted to teach His creation that He is a merciful God.  Opens the doors of repentance one by one.

 InterpretationVerse 53 Surat Al-Baqarah

{And when We gave Moses the Book and the Criterion, that you may be guided}

Allah the Almighty says: {And when We gave Moses the Book and the Criterion} So what is the Book. and what is the Criterion?The Book is the Torah.it is the one that explains the method.and the Criterion is the things in which Allah distinguishes between truth and falsehood so that guidance to goodness is by following the method. Because it protects society

 InterpretationVerse 54 Surat Al-Baqarah

But in order for Allah to accept their repentance, they must atone for their sin, which is killing themselves, and this is the best repentance, because after forgiveness they will not be held accountable for it in the Hereafter, and they will enter Paradise, and this is from the mercy of Allah, because He is the Accepter of Repentance, the Most Merciful.

 InterpretationVerse 55 Surat Al-Baqarah

After Allah accepted the repentance of the people of Moses after their worship of the calf, they returned once again to their stubbornness and materialism.  They wanted a material god.a god they could see, but God is great and cannot be seen with the eye.and when Moses' people asked him to see God openly, they were struck by lightning while they were looking.and when they dared to do that with God, they were struck by lightning. and lightning is either a fire that comes or a torment that descends.the important thing is that it is a calamity that overwhelms them... and lightning struck Moses

 InterpretationVerse 56 Surat Al-Baqarah

It is as if Moses' people actually died from the lightning.and Moses fainted.then Moses regained consciousness on his own.and as for those of his people who were struck by lightning.they died and were then resurrected so that they could thank God.

 InterpretationVerse 57 Surat Al-Baqarah

Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has provided them with this good provision, from the clouds that protect them from the heat of the sun, and those who provide them with fuel for movement. And quails as food for them, and all of this comes to them from the sky without them tiring.

Instead of responding to this blessing with gratitude, they responded to it with disbelief. Allah, the Most High, says: {And they did not wrong Us, but they were wronging themselves.}

 InterpretationVerse 58 Surat Al-Baqarah

They rejected a provision from Allah that came down from the sky without work or effort.  Of the best and most delicious provisions and the best food, such as manna and quails, to ask for the least of it and come with fatigue and exhaustion, and indeed they entered Jerusalem or Palestine or Jordan, they were ordered to enter prostrating, and to say “Hattah” meaning, remove our sins, O Lord, they disobeyed the command of Allah, and deliberately changed the words of Allah, so when they entered crawling on their backs they said “Hannatah” instead of “Hattah”, even though Allah ordered them to forgive their sins and make them among the righteous, and increase their vision of Allah, because the increase is their vision of Allah on the Day of Resurrection, and this increase is unparalleled in this world.

 InterpretationVerse 59

So those who did wrong changed the statement that was said to them, so We sent down upon those who did wrong a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobedient.

The Children of Israel despite all these blessings.Instead of thanking God, they disobeyed His command and changed the words that were said to them. Instead of saying “Hattah” they said “Hanthah” and changed the way they entered. Instead of entering prostrating, they entered crawling on their backs. This was a desire to disobey, so God sent down punishment from the sky upon them because they disobeyed

InterpretationVerse  60 Surat Al-Baqarah

And God Almighty reminds the Children of Israel that He gave them water when they asked for water, and God Almighty commanded with His power that the stick split the rock so that springs would gush forth from it until they were distributed among all the tribes or tribes from every side, He saved them from drought and other things, so because of the lack of water they would not spread corruption on the earth.

InterpretationVerse 61 Surat Al-Baqara

The Children of Israel asked Moses to pray to God Almighty to bring forth for them food from what the earth grows. and they mentioned the types of food they wanted: legumes, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions. What is striking about this request. is that God provided them with manna and quails, and they asked for types that indicate that they are from the type of slaves who eat it and it is known that the people of Pharaoh enslaved the Children of Israel and it seems that the Children of Israel loved the life of slavery, so God Almighty wanted to rebuke them before answering them Do you change good for evil? And it is good, and it is their provision that came to them without effort, and they wanted the provision that they were striving for, so He said to them: Go down to Egypt, for in it is everything they seek.

 Then He struck them with a severe blow that humiliated them and they were unable to erase it. The people of Pharaoh took the jizya from the rich people of the Book, so he humiliated them and forced them to wear dirty clothes. and they stood in a position of humiliation and disgrace so that they would not pay the jizya .

Then God shows us that

He was angry with them because of their sins, transgressions, disbelief, and killing of the prophets without right

InterpretationVerse 62 Surat Al-Baqara

It is as if his message, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to purify all previous religions, Judaism, Christianity, and the Sabians.All of this is required for belief in Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and belief in the religion of Islam, for Islam gathers all previous beliefs on earth and makes them central in one religion.Whoever believes in this religion and does righteous deeds, following the path of Allah, Allah will reward him with goodness

And improve his work and faith, so he will have no fear or sadness

InterpretationVerse 63 Surat Al-Baqara

Allah Almighty took a covenant from the Jews in the Old Testament to believe in the One God, but they always break the covenant despite all the blessings that Allah bestowed upon them. After Allah saved them and drowned Pharaoh and his people, Moses went to meet his Lord to receive the Torah from Him, and when Moses returned with the Torah written on tablets, he found the Children of Israel worshipping the calf.  "They rejected the assignment and said:

 We cannot bear this assignment, although Allah Almighty does not assign a soul more than it can bear. So Allah Almighty raised Mount Tur in Sinai above them and said to them: Accept the assignment or let the mountain fall on you. When the Children of Israel saw the mountain above them, they fell down and prostrated, and their prostration is evidence of their acceptance of the method.

lnterpretation verse 64 Surat Al-Baqara

Had it not been for Allah’s grace and mercy beyond what they deserved, they would have been among the losers. On the authority of Aisha

, may Allah be pleased with her, on the authority of the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: Be upright, draw near, and be glad, for no one will enter Paradise by virtue of his deeds. They said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Not even me, unless Allah covers me with forgiveness and mercy.

And mercy is what opened for them the path of repentance and forgiveness of sins, and Allah Almighty guided them by His grace and mercy to the religion that Allah Almighty preserved by His power from all distortion, and bestowed upon them the blessing of this final religion that was decisive, and with this mercy and grace

.. by sending down  They had the Torah that describes the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. But they did not believe in the message of our Master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, so they turned away from their religion
