Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 221 : 223
Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 221
And do not marry polytheistic women (mushrikāt) until they believe.
And a believing female slave (amāh) is better than a polytheist woman (mushrikah), even though she may please you.
And do not marry polytheistic men (mushrikīn) until they believe.
And a believing male slave (‘abd) is better than a polytheist man (mushrik), even though he may please you.
They invite you to the Fire, but Allah invites to Paradise and forgiveness, by His permission. And He makes clear His verses to the people that they may remember.”
.
Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 222
And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation.
And do not approach them until they are pure.
And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you.
Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."
Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 223
> Your wives are a place of sowing [seed] for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.
Interpretation of verse 221: 223 of Surat Al-Baqarah
Interpretation of verse 221 of Surat Al-Baqarah
The verse talks about what Allah has forbidden, which is that a believer should not marry a polytheist woman even if he loves this polytheist woman, because the child is more attached to the mother than the father during childhood and spends his first years in the lap of his mother who supervises his upbringing during his childhood until he reaches adulthood, which is the period in which a person is built and values and principles are instilled in him. During this period of time, which is the period of childhood, polytheism and disbelief in Allah are instilled in him, and polytheism occurs.
When he grows up and is in the lap of his father, he cannot restore what the mother spoiled in raising his son, and polytheism takes over him, which results in the corruption of society and the spread of disbelief and polytheism in Allah.
The verse indicates that a believing mother is better than a free polytheist, even if the believer loves her, because belief in God is what gives a person freedom, because servitude is to God alone and submission and obedience are to God alone, so belief in God is absolute freedom, and belief in God is what beautifies a person from the beauty of the soul and the beauty of the heart, so everyone who believes in God Almighty and fears God and does what God has commanded and avoids what God has forbidden, he is beautiful in heart and soul even if he is a slave or a slave girl,
So the believing slave girl is better than the free polytheist even if she is beautiful in appearance and form because she is ugly in thought and heart because she associates partners with God, all of this is so that God may preserve the environment in which the newborn grows up
, And we must understand that God Almighty has permitted a believer to marry a woman from the People of the Book, but he must be careful and ask her and ask her if she believes in the divinity of any human being or does she believe in the One Almighty God?
If she believes in the divinity of a human being with God, then she has committed polytheism and it is not permissible to marry her.
However, if she believes in the oneness of God, in this case it is permissible to marry her. We find in the verse that God Almighty addresses the believers not to marry polytheists, and addresses the believing women not to marry polytheists, because the criterion for choosing a life partner is one, which is the desire to build a family life on the basis of goodness.
Whoever calls to Hell is a polytheist, and God calls to Paradise, and forgiveness comes with God’s permission, that is, with God’s facilitation and success. All of these verses teach us God Almighty’s method so that we may remember them and act upon them. them.
Interpretation of verse 222 of Surat Al-Baqarah
The verses complete the questions of the believers to the Messenger of God, and they are all methodological questions that teach the believer what is permissible and what is forbidden so that the believer follows the laws.
The question in this verse is about menstruation. God Almighty commanded His noble Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, to respond to them that this menstruation is harmful. We know that menstruation refers to blood, the place of menstruation, and the time of menstruation. For your information, menstruation in a woman is a necessary process for her life and the life of reproduction. God Almighty commanded that men should keep away from women and not come near them, that is, do not come to them in the place from which harm comes, which is menstrual blood,
Because menstruation is harm that affects men and women, so there is no intercourse before they are purified, that is, before menstruation ends, and before they purify themselves, that is, before they wash themselves. What is meant is that the time of menstruation ends, then the woman washes herself from it, then her husband has intercourse with her if he wants that. And in purification, that is, in washing, there is purity and cleanliness, and sins are erased by it, because it is obedience to God’s command, and that is repentance and washing away sins, and God loves those who repent and loves those who purify themselves.
Interpretation of verse 223 of Surat Al-Baqarah
The verse talks about a matter related to the spouses and confirms that the Qur’an and Sunnah did not leave anything without clarifying God Almighty and His noble Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, who conveyed the message of Allah Almighty.
We learned from the Qur’an and Sunnah what is permissible and what is forbidden, what we should do and what we should avoid in the most minute matters and the most minute details, even sensitive matters between the husband and wife, so that neither of them is unjust to the other, and each of them knows his duty towards the other, and each of them treats the other with kindness, affection and mercy.
Among this is that Allah Almighty commanded the believers to approach their wives from the place of planting, which is the place where plants grow, and Allah Almighty likened this pure place to good soil that if planted and well cared for, produces goodness, which is plants.
The meaning of the verse is that God Almighty commands the husband to bring his wife close to the place of her implantation, and the implantation in the woman is the place where the child grows, so he comes to her to the place of birth of the child by any means
, And God Almighty wants love and mercy to prevail between the spouses throughout their lives, even at this moment, and each of them provides the other with all good through good treatment, love, mercy and kind words, and that the husband says in the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful before the husband comes to his wife in the place of the wife’s implantation by any means and that he seeks refuge in God from the accursed Satan,
And all of this is permissible, and whoever carries out God’s commands is among the righteous, because the righteous know that they will meet God Almighty, and God reassures the believers and gives them good news.
