summary of the interpretation of the verses of Surat Al-Baqarah from verse 124 to verse 141.

Let's come to the story of our master Ibrahim

Allah Almighty wants to show the connection of the Arabs to Ibrahim and their connection to the House, so Allah Almighty reminds our master Muhammad of what happened when he tested Ibrahim with words.

This test is not evil, but rather it is a test, if we succeed in it then it is good, and if we fail in it then it is evil. One of the foundations of education is for the educator to test the one he is raising to know whether he succeeded in raising him or not.

The test here is with words, and what is meant by it in this verse is the assignment from Allah to our master Ibrahim.

The test must be great, and if he succeeds in it then this test makes him worthy of carrying the message. One of the tests that happened to our master Ibrahim is that Allah tested him by throwing him into the fire while he was alive and he did not care. He did not panic or retreat and did not resort to anyone but Allah, so Gabriel came to him and said to him: Do you have a need? Ibrahim said:

As for you, no, as for Allah, His knowledge of my condition makes Him independent of asking me.

The climax of the ordeal was when Allah ordered our master Abraham to slaughter his son. He began to carry out the order, but Allah redeemed him with a ram before carrying it out

. He did that because he loved Allah more than his family, himself, and children. Allah Almighty knew Abraham’s loyalty to Him.

The father of the prophets, our master Abraham, carried out all the duties that Allah ordered him to do with all love and passion for the method. Abraham, peace be upon him, succeeded in everything he was tested or tried in, and Allah’s reward for him was to be an Imam for humanity.

Abraham wanted to pass on the Imamate to his children and grandchildren, so that they would not be deprived of the values of faith that would preserve their lives and lead them to eternal bliss. However, Allah Almighty responded to Abraham by saying that

Abraham had attained the Imamate through his deeds, and this is only attained by the pious among His servants who worship and glorify Him, and it is not attained by the unjust.

Interpretation of verse 125 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The verses talk about the Sacred House and changing the Qiblah to the Kaaba. God Almighty mentions to our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, that God made the House, which is the Kaaba.

The Kaaba was called a house because it is a place of comfort for all of God’s creation. Just as people rest in their homes, God mentions to our master Muhammad that God made the Kaaba filled with goodness and reward, and God erases the grief in their hearts, and God made it a place of safety, meaning that people feel safe in it.

The security intended in the verse is that whoever obeys his Lord makes the House safe, and disobeying God leads to insecurity.

The location of the House was not visible to people, so God Almighty informed Abraham of the location of the House to put a sign that would guide people to it. God Almighty confirmed the existence of the Station of Abraham in its place that separates the worshippers behind him from the Kaaba.

The Station of Abraham is the place where he stood when God commanded him to raise the foundations of the House. God Almighty wants to make the Station of Abraham a place of prayer, because the Station of Abraham has a story related to worship and completing it in the most perfect way, and the Station will give us a face  Completion, and this is a duty and the believer must perform it with love and passion.

Because the House was like the rest of the earth, where sacrifices were slaughtered and waste was thrown into it, Allah the Almighty commanded our master Abraham and our master Ismail to purify the House from all these filth and make it a place for three groups: (Those who circumambulate) meaning those who circumambulate around something.

{And those who reside}  {And those who bow and prostrate} meaning those who pray, so purifying the House is for circumambulating it, staying in it, and praying in it.

It is also a place of purification because it is a qiblah for Muslims for every prostrator on the face of the earth until the Day of Resurrection

Interpretation of verse 126 of Surat Al-Baqarah

Because the country

In ancient times, people were afraid to go to Mecca because it is located in a valley with no crops. Therefore, Abraham, peace be upon him, asked God Almighty for his family who believed to make the country safe for them and to enter it reassured and to provide them with fruits because they are necessities of life.

Abraham asked God for all this for his believing family alone because he was afraid to ask for sustenance for everyone living in Mecca,

As the answer would be from God Almighty, as He had previously informed him that the wrongdoers do not receive sustenance from God. But God Almighty wanted to draw Abraham's attention to the fact that only the believer receives sustenance that does not disappear and is linked to the afterlife, such as sustenance through guidance and divine assistance that helps the believer and increases his closeness to God, because the believer is the one who chose faith and chose to draw closer to God.  As for the provision related to this world, it is for the believer and the disbeliever.

As long as God has called you, He has guaranteed your provision. God did not say to the sun, “Shine on the earth,” only for the believer, and He did not say to the air, “Do not let the oppressor breathe you.” Rather, He gave the blessing of preserving life and its continuation to everyone He created, whether a believer or a disbeliever.

The believer enjoys the transient world and also enjoys the eternal afterlife because he chose faith.

As for the disbeliever, he enjoys only the transient world, and he has nothing in the afterlife except torment, forced to do so without his choice. How terrible is this fate that has befallen him and how evil is his choice, which is disbelief in God and His blessings upon him. ..

Interpretation of verse 127 of Surat Al-Baqarah

Allah Almighty says to His Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remember when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House, and the word (raises) indicates the future,

As if he is raising the foundations of the House now, not in the past, so we notice that Allah Almighty wants the believers to remember and imagine the process of raising, as Abraham did not have a ladder or anything else to raise and stand on, and this did not prevent him from bringing the stone. Allah wants us not to forget this process, so Abraham and his son Ismail go to look for a stone, and the stone must be light in weight so that they can carry it to the construction site.

Then Abraham stands on the stone and Ismail hands him the rest of the stones with which the foundations of the House will be raised.

Despite the hardship that the two endure.

They are happy. Everything they ask of Allah is for Him to accept from them.

That is, You, O Lord, are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing who hears our supplication and hears what we say.

The All-Knowing of our intentions and the extent of our belonging to You

……………………..…

Interpretation of verse 128 of Surat Al-Baqarah

In this noble verse, we see that Abraham wants to open the doors of accountability for himself, because he sees in every accountability only the purification of the soul, the goodness of offspring, and the bliss of the hereafter.

Therefore, Abraham and his son Ishmael prayed, and they were saying: O Lord, You have commanded us to raise the foundations of the House, and we have done what You have commanded us to do, and we have tasted the sweetness of the obligation, so make us submit to You and to Your obedience and commands more, and increase our rituals that make us see them and do them as You have commanded us, O God, and show us how to worship

You and how to draw near to You, and provide our offspring with this obligation, and spread upon them the sweetness of this obligation after us, so they call upon Him, the Most Merciful, because they know that God is Merciful to the believers, so they call upon Him to accept their repentance and forgive them and their offspring, fearing for their offspring from temptations, and loving what God loves, because God loves those who repent and are constant in supplication..

……………………….

Interpretation of verse 129 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The supplication of Abraham, peace be upon him, to God Almighty to complete His blessings upon his descendants and increase His mercy upon His servants, by sending a messenger to them to convey to them the method of heaven so that there would not be a period of darkness on earth in which sins, corruption and disbelief spread and people worship idols as happened before Abraham.

The word {a messenger from among them} answers the Jews who were sad that the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, was from the Arabs, and that the message should be among them, so we say to them that our grandfather and your grandfather were Abraham and you are from the descendants of Jacob, son of Isaac.

from the Messenger, may God bless him is from the descendants of Ishmael, son of Abraham, and brother of Isaac, and there is no proof for what you claim that God favored you

And chose you over all other nations. Rather, God Almighty wanted to take away prophethood from you because you were wrongdoers on earth, and the covenant of God is not attained by the wrongdoers.

God Almighty wanted to inform them that this prophet is from the descendants of Abraham and that he is from Ishmael, son of Abraham, peace be upon them.

He recites to them the verses of the Qur’an and teaches them the Qur’an. Recitation means reading and learning means understanding the Qur’an.

Wisdom is what we take from the Messenger, may God bless him

And grant him peace, in his actions, as he purifies them from evil and guides them to good. Our master Abraham used to say in his supplication, O Lord “You are the Exalted in Might, whom no one asks, and You are Wise in all things.”

……………….

Interpretation of verse  130 of Surat Al-Baqarah

And whoever turns back from the religion of Abraham and disbelieves in it - then it is those who are the foolish, the ignorant who have no mind, nor do they distinguish between harmful and beneficial.

Because God Almighty chose him in this world with the method and made him an imam and he has bliss in the hereafter, that is, both of them together.

………….

Interpretation of verse 131 of Surat Al-Baqarah

And God Almighty wants to draw our attention to the fact that He said to Abraham, “Submit,” and he said, “I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds.”

………..

Interpretation of verse 132 of Surat Al-Baqarah

Advice  is a sermon that you would like the person you are advising to adhere to and you say it to him sincerely in the last moments of your life and the most sincere thing a person is in the last moments of his life

And the advice was to adhere to the religion and that the religion with Allah is Islam and Islam is submission to the commands of Allah and working with them and that Allah is the one who chooses the religion for us, which is Islam.

So the meaning is do not leave Islam for a moment so that death does not surprise you except while you are Muslims.

And Allah Almighty concealed the time, place and cause of death.

So that this would be an announcement of it and people would expect it at any age, in any place and at any time.

…………………….……………………….

Interpretation of verse 133 of Surat Al-Baqarah

This verse was revealed in response to the Jews when they said to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that Jacob, before his death, recommended Judaism to his sons.

They were not present when Jacob recommended his sons and the verse was revealed. God’s statement was to deny their presence at the recommendation.

The statement “Or were you?” means that you were not watching or attending.

When Jacob was close to death, he asked his sons to test them about what they would worship after his death.

Their response was “We worship your God and the God of your fathers.”

Then they came up with their names specifically

They were Abraham the grandfather, Ishmael the uncle, and Isaac the father of Jacob. They all gave them the title of father.

This is an acknowledgment from the tribes, the sons of Jacob, that they are Muslims and that their fathers are Muslims. Consider the precision of the Quranic performance in the Almighty’s statement:

{We worship your God and the God of your fathers}.   after the death of Abraham and when Jacob was dying that the worshipped one, who is God Almighty, the One, did not change. Therefore, they said, as the Holy Quran tells us: {One God}.

They recognized monotheism and that they were Muslims to God, meaning they submit to all of God’s commands and are believers, and that the religion with God is Islam.

………………………………………………

Interpretation of verse 134 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The verse begins with an address to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and to all Muslims.

The verse shows that this nation is unique, and it is the nation of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, and Jacob.

They are a large group distinguished by the unity of their faith, that is, by unity and one belief, until they became one thing.

The word ( is unique) is intended to make the Jews understand that they should not think that their lineage to Abraham will intercede for them on the Day of Judgment,

And because every person has his own deeds, they should not attribute themselves to Abraham, because the lineage of prophethood is a lineage of faith in which there is adherence to the method and belief, and this is not considered a lineage for them because lineage is not by family or blood relationship,

So they do not deserve this great honor, rather lineage is similarities in deeds, because the group of the nation of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob gathered on one religion, and this group will be held accountable for what it did, just as you will be held accountable for what you did.

And you will not be asked about what Abraham did, but you are responsible for yourselves, and the question is about your actions

………………………………………………

Interpretation of verse 135 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The word "they said" means that those who said are a group.

The address here is to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and not to Abraham because they do not disagree with Abraham

. The Jews considered him one of their prophets.

The Christians considered him one of their prophets and did not deny him prophethood, but each of them wanted to attribute him to himself.

So what happened is the following from the words of the Jews and Christians. The talk is about the People of the Book, but each of them said something different from the other.

That is, the Jews said to the believers, polytheists, and Christians, "Be Jews and you will be guided.

" Then the Christians said to the Jews, polytheists, and believers, "Be Christians and you will be guided."

Because they are misguided, they think that this is guidance. Guidance for the Jews and Christians means fulfilling the desires of their souls .

But Islam came and took Moses and his correct Torah from Judaism, and took Jesus and his correct Gospel from Christianity.

And everything that Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, brought.

This means that Islam took the unity of the faith deal concluded between God Almighty and every believer.

And Muhammad's response, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the religion of Abraham, a Hanif.

And Hanif is an inclination, and what is meant here by inclination is an inclination away from everything that angers God.

And they did not associate partners with God and believed in the One God.

And at that time, the inclination becomes moderation and corrects the negligence of people regarding God's method and takes people from the existing crookedness to moderation.

……………………………………..

Interpretation of verse 136 of Surat Al-Baqarah

This noble verse gives us a description of the religion of Abraham, which is belief in God alone, with no partner. This confirms to us that it is the revelation of God.

And all the messages, as we said, call for the worship of the One God, with no partner.

The correct message about God since the time of Adam until now is the unity of belief that there is no god but God alone, with no partner.

and that God is the Creator and the Manager, and everything that deviates from the divinity of the One God  And that everything that deviates from that is from the distortion of previous religions is a slander against God Almighty, which we do not accept.

They acknowledged and said that they believed in what was revealed from the Qur’an and what was revealed to

Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes, and what was given to Moses from the Torah and what was given to Jesus from the Gospel and what was given to the prophets in general.

And there is no difference between them, meaning that Abraham was a Muslim and all the prophets were Muslims, and everything that contradicts that is made by humans.

The meaning of Islam is that there is a Muslim and a Muslim is submitted to God Almighty.

We surrender to Him in servitude to Him and in following His method.

A person does not surrender his face except to someone who is more capable, more knowledgeable, stronger than him, and to someone who has no desires. If you doubt one of the elements, then your Islam is not real, but rather an illusion.

……………………..…………….

Interpretation of verse 137 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The verse explains the following

If they declare their belief, like us, in Allah and His Messenger, then this is the guidance, for they have been guided to the truth.

But if they turn away, then they will remain in disagreement with you and in disagreement with each other; each of them has a point of view that he claims, and a guidance that he invented, then Allah will suffice you against them.

That is, do not pay attention to their battles or their dialogue, for Allah will suffice you by all means from anyone other than Him, and He hears what is said, and is All-Knowing of what they plot

……………………………..………….

Interpretation of verse 138 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The verse shows us the depth of faith by comparing it to dye. Dyeing is adding a color to something so that it changes it to another color. Its substance must enter through the pores of the fabric.

Unlike paint, it is different. It is an external layer that you can remove

. {The dye of Allah} So it is as if faith in Allah, the religion of Abraham, and what Allah revealed to His messengers is the divine dye that penetrates the human body.

What is meant is that faith penetrates the entire body. It is not a dye from outside your body, but a dye that Allah placed in the cells of the heart, present in it at the time of creation.

So it is as if faith is a dye that is present by nature. It is the dye of Allah.

This is the dye of Allah that gives us worship.

Therefore, we worship Allah.

As for non-Muslims, it is an external coating and not a dye because they abandoned the dye of Allah. That is, they abandoned faith

……………………………..……….

Interpretation of verse 139 of Surat Al-Baqarah

Say, O Muhammad, to the Jews and Christians.

Do you dispute with us about God   while He is our Lord and your Lord?

That is, we and you are equal in God, for He is our Lord and your Lord.

And for us are our deeds and for you are your deeds.

That is, for each one of you is his own deeds.

And you say that you are more worthy of God, while we are sincere to Him.

…………………………………………….

Interpretation of verse 140 of Surat Al-Baqarah

The Jews and Christians claimed that the prophets before Moses and Jesus were Jews or Christians.

The Jews claimed that they were Jews.

The Christians claimed that they were Christians. Allah Almighty answers them with a question, which is:

Are you or does Allah know best? Because they will not be able to say:

We know better than Allah.

Because there is no doubt that Allah knows best.

And he who conceals a testimony before Allah that Abraham and his sons were Muslims and that Allah knows their deeds

………………………………..……………

Interpretation of verse 141

It talks about the nation that was unique and distinguished by monotheism and that this nation, the nation of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, will be held accountable for its deeds as others are held accountable.

This verse is the same text as verse 133 of Surat Al-Baqarah.

The text of verses 133 of Surat Al-Baqarah and verse 141 of Surat Al-Baqarah is not considered a repetition. The context in the first verse is intended to clarify that you will have no intercession on the Day of Resurrection regarding your lineage to Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac.

The context in the second verse is intended to clarify that you will have no argument on the Day of Resurrection regarding your saying that they were Jews or Christians.

Your lineage to them will not benefit you and Allah will not accept your argument.

Thus, the meaning is completely different and touches on two different situations on the Day of Resurrection.
